In 1967, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) introduced the concept of a Medical Home a place that represents a home base for any child’s medical care.
Today’s medical home is a cultivated partnership between the patient, family, and pediatrician in cooperation with sub-specialists and support from the community.
The patient/family is the focal point of this model, and the medical home is built around this center. Care under the medical home model must be accessible, family-centered, continuous, comprehensive, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective.
Casper Children’s Center is Wyoming’s only certified Pediatric Patient Centered Medical Home.
We provide a full spectrum of pediatric care for patients from birth (or before) through 22 years of age (or after under certain circumstances.)
We do not discriminated based on ethnicity, race, sex, family circumstances or other characteristics.
