Vaccination Schedules
Every parent wants to protect and nurture his/her children to adulthood – and keeping them current with recommended vaccinations is an important step in achieving that goal. Every year, the CDC publishes its recommended vaccination schedule for each age group, the American Academy of Pediatrics issues its recommendation, and the State of Wyoming provides its input as well. (There are alternative vaccine schedules out there, too.) These recommended vaccines are SAFE, effective in preventing disease and are the easiest, most important single thing YOU can do for your child. Casper Children’s Center follows the AAP recommendations, and we are happy to discuss any and all vaccination topics with you in an objective and informational manner at any time.

Diet/Exercise
Childhood obesity has reached epidemic proportions around the world, and the United States is no different. The cycle of obesity that starts at a young age has profound impact on the individual’s health and longevity. Furthermore, obese parents are more likely to have obese children, which perpetuates the cycle.

Developmental Milestones
The best way to gauge if your baby is developing normally is to watch for Developmental Milestones. These are things you should observe your baby doing based on his/her age. (If your baby was born prematurely, be sure to correct for his/her gestational age! See
NICU-PEDIA for more information. ) Remember that these are guidelines, and every baby develops based on his/her individual characteristics. If you have any concerns, please be sure talk to us about them.
