We want you to feel comfortable when you visit Casper Children’s Center, confident that all of our team members are highly qualified to perform at the highest levels, and who to turn to should you have a need. Please, meet our staff:
Sade - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Sade joins us as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). Sade was born and raised here in Casper. She came to us from Mesa Immediate Care, where she worked in the front office. Sade has a great love for children, making Casper Children’s Center the right place for her! Sade has a goddaughter that she adores, but no children of her own just yet.
Sade starts your visit with you, collecting all of your information in the exam room and providing information on any vaccines that may be due. At the end of your visit, Sade will administer vaccines and other medications, as well as initiating any treatments or procedures ordered by Dr. Springer. You can ask Sade any questions you may have --- if she doesn’t have an answer she will get it!
Dylan - Practice Assistant
Dylan joins us in the front office to provide excellent customer service as he greets you when you arrive, answers your phone calls, schedules your appointments and helps you solve any of your non-medical problems. Dylan moved to Casper 3 months ago from Northern Colorado to be closer to his mother. He is a Godfather to a sweet little girl and can’t wait to have his own. Prior to joining us, Dylan has worked at Wyoming Ale Works here in town which makes him great at multitasking and conquering all of the tasks you may throw at him.
JoAnna - RN & CLC (Registered Nurse & Certified Lactation Consultant )
JoAnna is a Casper native, a mother of three, the lead Registered Nurse (RN), and a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC.)
Some things JoAnna does include
collecting your current health information from you at the beginning of every visit
administering medications or treatments ordered by your pediatrician
helping you understand important information about your health
refilling medications and/or giving new immunizations
Also in 2016, JoAnna became a Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC.) She is available to help all of our breastfeeding moms --- struggling or not!
Any questions or problems you may will most likely be answered by JoAnna.
Ashley - Practice Administrator
Ashley joins us in the front office, where she will answer your telephone calls, help you schedule your appointments, and get you on your way when your office visit is over. You may also see her in the back, helping with patient care, as she recently worked as a certified medical assistant with a busy oncology practice in Southern California.
As the working mother of a young child, Ashley is a master in multitasking and she understands the difficulties faced when trying to balance family and a professional life.
Please join us in welcoming Ashley to Wyoming, and to Casper Children’s Center.
Shelley C Springer – Pediatrician (MD) / Neonatologist
Dr. Springer received her MD degree from the Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, in 1994. She completed a residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine at Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, in 2000. Fully board certified and maintained by the American Board of Pediatrics in both specialties, Dr. Springer practiced as a neonatologist (sick and premature babies) all around the country until forming Casper Children’s Center in 2014.
Dr. Springer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and works closely with them to develop Clinical Practice Guidelines and promote evidence based medicine in pediatrics.
Dr. Springer has three children, all delivered while she was a medical student. She has experienced first-hand the challenges of working mothers. She knows the importance of being able to reach your pediatrician when your child is ill and the struggles when family and career obligations collide. She is committed to embracing new knowledge and technology when it makes lives better, while holding onto traditional values. A believer in the power of Mother Nature, she does not hesitate to intervene when necessary.
